Lamine Yamal Celebrates Historic Goal in Breakthrough Year.
In a year marked by breakthroughs, teenager Lamine Yamal etched his name in history as the youngest goalscorer ever in La Liga. His goal played a pivotal role as Barcelona orchestrated a remarkable comeback from a two-goal deficit to secure a crucial point against Granada.
At just 16 years and 87 days old, Yamal kickstarted Barcelona’s resurgence. The visitors found themselves trailing after a mere 17 seconds when Bryan Zaragoza netted for Granada.
Despite Granada’s early lead, Barcelona continued to dominate the match in search of a response. Zaragoza later doubled Granada’s advantage with a splendid solo effort on the break, 29 minutes into the game.
However, the tide began to turn with Yamal’s tap-in from Joao Felix’s pass just before halftime. It wasn’t until the 85th minute that Sergi Roberto found the equalizer, expertly slotting the ball into the net from Alejandro Balde’s assist.
Although there was late drama when Felix believed he had scored a dramatic winner, his goal was ultimately disallowed due to a marginal offside call against Ferran Torres.
This hard-fought point left Barcelona in the third position, trailing leaders Real Madrid by three points and second-placed Girona by one, as they head into the international break.
