On May 18, Expo 2020 Dubai Museum will unveil its doors to the public, offering free admission to commemorate International Museum Day. The museum will showcase exclusive behind-the-scenes glimpses of the Expo 2020 Dubai expedition.

During May 18 and 19, visitors can enjoy complimentary access to the new museum and the city’s three Stories of Nations exhibitions. Additionally, they’ll receive a 50% discount on all other attractions including Alif, Terra, the Women’s and Vision Pavilions, and the Garden in the Sky.

The Expo 2020 Dubai Museum presents a blend of mixed media exhibits and interactive content designed for young visitors to engage with.

The museum offers an immersive journey through the UAE’s inaugural participation in World Expos during the 1970s, the inception and bid process of Expo 2020, the masterplan design and site construction, the challenges faced during the pandemic and postponement, the grand opening ceremony, and the six-month event itself. Additionally, it pays homage to the enduring impact and legacy of World Expos.

Guided tours are scheduled every 30 minutes, providing visitors with insights into the museum’s rich narrative. Situated in the Opportunity District, the museum also houses a souvenir shop stocked with Expo 2020 memorabilia, offering visitors the chance to expand their Expo ‘passports’ with additional country stamps. Furthermore, guests can explore the Expo 2020 library and utilize rentable meeting spaces.

Starting May 20, the museum will be included in Expo City’s one-day Attractions Pass, priced at AED 120. Alternatively, visitors can opt for a combined ticket, granting access to both the Expo 2020 Museum and the three Stories of Nations exhibits, priced at Dh50 for ages 12 and above, and Dh40 for children aged 4 to 11. Admission is free for children aged 3 and under. Tickets can be purchased online at www.expocitydubai.com.
