On Sunday, the Chinese global technology brand Honor unveiled its Magic6 Pro smartphone and AI PC MagicBook Pro 16. These devices are equipped with the company’s platform-level artificial intelligence (AI) operating system, aiming to provide users with more human-centric experiences.

The Magic6 Pro is priced at 1,299 euros (approximately Dh5,200). Pre-orders began on February 25 in Europe, with the smartphone set to be available starting March 1, 2024.


Unveiled at the Mobile World Congress (MWC 2024) in Barcelona, Spain, on Sunday, the newest entry in the Honor Magic Series flagship lineup showcases advancements in photography, display, performance, and AI-powered user experiences.


The technology giant unveiled MagicOS 8.0, the latest iteration of its Android-based operating system, introducing platform-level AI and pioneering the industry’s first intent-based user interface.

George Zhao, CEO of Honor Device Co., expressed the company’s commitment to delivering human-centric innovations that address consumers’ desires and pain points in the AI era. “We announced the global launch of the new Honor smartphones and AI PC, revolutionizing the user experience with industry-leading AI capabilities while pushing the boundaries in human-device interaction,” he stated.

One of the most exciting features of the Magic6 Pro is its AI-powered eye-tracking system, enabling hands-free control of a car—a significant advancement for users.


With a simple tap on the notifications banner at the top of the screen, the Magic Capsule in Magic6 Pro expands, providing additional information and related options. This grants users instant access to essential resources, eliminating the need to navigate through multiple apps for maximum productivity and efficiency.

Meanwhile, Magic Portal simplifies complex tasks into a single-step process. For instance, Magic Portal’s AI swiftly recognizes addresses in text messages and directs users to Google Maps, enabling effortless navigation at their fingertips. It also streamlines access and sharing on social media platforms like TikTok and Facebook, allowing users to forward booking details or online search results with just a single drag. Additionally, Magic Portal facilitates image-based shopping experiences, seamlessly guiding users to platforms where they can find and purchase desired items.

Magic Portal supports over 100 of the most frequently used apps globally.


Honor introduces on-device AI with the open-source LlaMA 2 embedded within the Magic6 Pro, offering capabilities such as Q&A, text creation, and reading comprehension in an offline setting, providing a glimpse of future opportunities.

This experimental concept illustrates how the integration of AI-enhanced smartphones and vehicles can transcend traditional screen or voice controls, opening up possibilities for advanced human-device interactions.

Equipped with the Snapdragon 8 Gen 3 Mobile Platform, the newly launched smartphone boasts a 30% improvement in CPU performance and a 25% increase in GPU performance. Additionally, it ensures exceptional gaming experiences with superb battery efficiency.

Furthermore, with its 80W wired supercharge and 66W wireless supercharge capabilities, users can fully charge the Magic6 Pro in just 40 minutes.

Debuting a new and improved Falcon Camera System powered by an AI model, the Magic6 Pro features AI Motion Sensing Capture, an advanced algorithm that predicts and captures decisive moments in ultra-high definition. The HONOR AI Motion Sensing Capture covers a wide range of sports and activities such as jumping, dancing, and martial arts, making it ideal for capturing thrilling moments at sports events and races.

Additionally, Honor introduces a 180MP Telephoto Camera Lens (f/2.6, OIS) with 2.5x optical zoom and up to 100x digital zoom. The Magic6 Pro also boasts a 50MP ultra-wide camera (f/2.0, EIS) and a powerful 50MP main camera with variable aperture capabilities (f/1.4 and f/2.0, OIS), ensuring exceptional clarity and detail capture even in fast-paced moments.
