British Airways has resumed its services between London and Abu Dhabi after a four-year hiatus. The UK-based airline announced that it would operate daily flights from London Heathrow to the newly opened Zayed International Airport in Abu Dhabi year-round.

The UK stands as one of the most favored destinations for UAE residents, whether for leisure, business, or visiting relatives and friends. This appeal particularly amplifies during the summer season, prompting the airline to deploy the Boeing 787-9 for operations.

Calum Laming, Chief Customer Officer at British Airways, emphasized, “The new daily flight links Abu Dhabi with London Heathrow and beyond, offering our customers access to yet another incredible destination within our extensive global network, and strengthening our ties with the UAE.” He further noted that the aircraft would feature four cabins for passengers to select from.

Laming expressed, “On a personal note, it’s a privilege to come back to the remarkable city and Emirate of Abu Dhabi, where I had the fortune to reside for nearly a decade.”

Elena Sorlini, Managing Director and CEO at Abu Dhabi Airports, commented that British Airways’ new flight would “enhance connectivity and stimulate both business and tourism.”
