The recent strike in Syria is the latest in a series of attacks allegedly carried out by Israel. This strike targeted Aleppo airport and is reported to be the fifth such attack on the airport within a year. The strike comes shortly after another Israeli attack near Damascus that resulted in the deaths of two pro-government fighters.

Over the past year, there have been multiple reported Israeli strikes on Aleppo airport. The airport has been targeted in May, twice in March, and also in September of the previous year. Damascus, the capital of Syria, has also experienced Israeli missile strikes on its airport at least four times in the current year.

Israel has not officially commented on these attacks, a stance it has maintained in response to previous similar assaults on Syria. Israel has been involved in numerous air strikes in Syria since 2011, targeting a variety of entities, including Syrian military forces, Iran-backed fighters, and Hezbollah.

Notably, these attacks have become more frequent in the past year and have included targets like airports, which have the effect of disrupting aviation operations in the region.
