Dubai is preparing to introduce an impressive waterfront destination with the upcoming Palm Jebel Ali project. Spanning an expansive 13.4 square kilometers, twice the size of Palm Jumeirah, this development signifies a significant milestone in Dubai’s growth.
Featuring breathtaking waterfalls, vast green spaces, and unique waterfront experiences, Palm Jebel Ali will extend Dubai’s coastline by approximately 110 kilometers. The location will provide luxurious beachside living for around 35,000 families.
His Highness Sheikh Mohammed bin Rashid Al Maktoum, Vice-President and Prime Minister of the UAE and Ruler of Dubai, expressed his enthusiasm for the project, tweeting, “Every day we add a new brick in building the most beautiful city in the world,” as he approved the futuristic masterplan for Palm Jebel Ali.
Dubai is renowned for its iconic manmade islands, including Palm Jumeirah and Palm Jebel Ali. Shaped like a palm tree archipelago, these islands showcase architectural marvels reclaimed from the sea.
Palm Jebel Ali will introduce mixed-use walkable neighborhoods, incorporating smart city technologies and sustainable practices. The development will prioritize diverse mobility options for residents, visitors, and communities. Furthermore, up to 30 percent of the island’s energy requirements will be sourced from renewable sources.
Sheikh Mohammed affirmed Dubai’s commitment to innovation and the creation of world-class lifestyle destinations, solidifying its reputation as a premier city for living, working, and visiting. He emphasized Dubai’s aspirations for the future, aiming to transform its grand development vision into reality. Palm Jebel Ali will enhance Dubai’s urban infrastructure, further establishing the city as a leading global metropolis.
Nakheel, a Dubai-based real estate master developer, is undertaking this visionary project. Mohammed Ibrahim Al Shaibani, Chairman of Nakheel, expressed honor in embarking on this groundbreaking journey, driven by the vision of Sheikh Mohammed bin Rashid Al Maktoum. Palm Jebel Ali will set new standards for waterfront living, offering an array of luxury amenities for residents, families, and visitors. It aligns with Dubai’s objective to consolidate its position as a top global city for business and tourism. The project also marks the commencement of a new growth corridor in the Jebel Ali area, signifying the expansion of the emirate.
