Ras Al Khaimah’s hospitality sector is set to create over 10,000 new employment opportunities in the next few years, with the opening of several new hotels, including the renowned Wynn Resorts brand. According to Raki Phillips, CEO of the Ras Al Khaimah Tourism Development Authority, the emirate currently has 8,000 hotel rooms, and plans to add 450 more rooms this year and over 1,000 more in the following year. In the next five years, the aim is to double the number of rooms available in Ras Al Khaimah.
Over the next few years, Ras Al Khaimah’s hospitality sector will witness the creation of over 10,000 new jobs, as several new hotels, including big players such as Wynn Resorts, open their doors.
Intercontinental, Hampton, and Movenpick opened in the emirate in 2023, and this year, the Anantara Hotel will open in Mina Al Arab, along with the Sofitel Hotel in Al Hamra.
Aldar, Abu Dhabi National Hotels, and Emaar have also announced investments in RAK, which will have a significant impact on the hospitality market.
Wynn Resorts will open a 1,000-plus room hotel in RAK, costing $3.9 billion, which will also have a gaming area and other amenities. Phillips predicts that to operate these new properties, the hotels will need to recruit over 10,000 new employees by 2030 or sooner.
