During an interaction with ComicBook.com’s Chris Killian before the SAG-AFTRA strike, Gadot expressed her love for the character and revealed that she will be working closely with James Gunn and Peter Safran on the development of Wonder Woman 3. Previously, there were speculations about her future in the role, especially after the change in leadership at DC Studios, which saw Patty Jenkins stepping back from directing the third installment.
Gadot has been a prominent figure as Wonder Woman since the character’s debut in 2017’s Wonder Woman, followed by the 2020 sequel, Wonder Woman 1984. With this official confirmation, fans can now eagerly anticipate Wonder Woman’s return in the next chapter of her superhero journey.
Amidst her role as Wonder Woman, Gadot is also gearing up for her upcoming Netflix thriller Heart of Stone, where she stars alongside Jamie Dornan and Indian actress Alia Bhatt. The movie is set to premiere on Netflix on August 11, 2023.
