Last week, a gathering of skydiving enthusiasts convened in the Maldives for the launch of the country’s inaugural permanent skydiving drop zone above Ifuru Island.
In collaboration with World Champion skydiver Will Penny, the recently unveiled all-inclusive beach resort established the drop zone. Operational from November to March annually, the facility is managed by a team of skilled professionals and tandem instructors.
According to Penny, after a brief safety briefing, guests can be on a plane harnessed to an experienced instructor within 20 minutes. They can then relish the thrill of a free fall and canopy ride before safely landing back on earth. The unique experience concludes with a refreshing swim in the sea, allowing guests to fully enjoy the amenities of the remarkable resort.
Launching at a starting price of $550, Ifuru Island Maldives sweetens the deal by offering a complimentary skydive with stays lasting seven nights or more.
