Within the UAE, Dubai holds the position of being the second-most desired city for global travelers.
Embarking on East African getaways is set to become more convenient, with Kenya’s recent announcement of visa-free travel for all, starting in January.

Dubai ranks as the world’s second-most popular city for tourism.

In Euromonitor International’s index of the Top 100 City Destinations, 63 of them are European, yet Dubai secured the second spot, just slightly behind Paris.

The annual report evaluates 55 metrics across six key pillars to formulate an overall city attractiveness score. These pillars encompass economic and business performance, tourism policies, performance and infrastructure, health and safety, and sustainability.

The top five cities in the rankings include Madrid, Tokyo, and Amsterdam, following Dubai and Paris. The rest of the top 10 features Berlin, Rome, New York, Barcelona, and London.

Furthermore, Asia made a significant presence in the top 20, with Singapore, Seoul, Osaka, and Hong Kong also making the list.

Starting January, travelers will enjoy visa-free access to Kenya.

Beginning next year, Kenya will eliminate visa requirements for visitors worldwide, as declared by President William Ruto last week.

During an event in Nairobi commemorating Kenya’s 60th anniversary of independence, Ruto stated, “It shall no longer be necessary for any person from any corner of the globe to carry the burden of applying for a visa to come to Kenya”.

To streamline the process, the government has introduced a digital platform for travelers to obtain electronic travel authorization in advance, although specific details are yet to be clarified.

Kenya, a sought-after destination for travelers, has received renewed attention, with Etihad Airways recently announcing plans to resume flights to the capital, Nairobi, starting May 1.
