Turkey Waives Visa Requirement for North Americans

Turkey Ends Visa Requirement for North Americans

by Lafin

The Turkish Ministry of Culture and Tourism has announced that North American travelers visiting the country will no longer be required to purchase e-visas, which were previously available online for $51.50.

As part of the new policy, the United States, along with Canada, Bahrain, Oman, Saudi Arabia, and the United Arab Emirates, now joins 20 other countries whose residents can visit Turkey without the need to obtain a visa in advance. This move aims to simplify the travel process and promote tourism by eliminating the visa requirement for these specific nations.

This change is expected to facilitate smoother entry for North American tourists and enhance the overall travel experience for visitors to Turkey.
